1. Tell us about your book, The Guardian of Paradise.
The Guardian of Paradise takes place in future Earth. Shana Moon is a government agent. Her mission is to assassinate The Guardian of Paradise, Kai Morgan. A virus is detected on her ship and her ship crashes on Paradise. Kai Morgan rescues an unconscious Shana from the burning ship. She wakes up and couldn’t remember a thing about who she is or where she came from. When she questions Kai about her identity, he tells her they are married and she believes him. They both have hidden secrets and are thrown into some dangerous situations but it made the love for each other grow stronger
2. Where did the idea for the story come from?
I really have no idea from where the idea for this story came, it just came to me while writing a different story.
3. What do you like most about your main characters?
They are both strong and go after what they want--each other. Even though Kai lied to Shana, she still felt a strong bond to him and leaned against him for support after she had gotten her memory back. She didn’t want to go back to Earth, but she still had unfinished business there.
4. What do you like the least about your main characters?
When they didn’t do what I’ve told them. They took a life of their own and I went along for the ride.
5. Which comes first your title or your story?
The title, really then the story came next.
6. In the writing world, who is your idol and why?
There are too many writers out there who are my idols. Dara Joy is one of them, and Sherrilynn Kenyon, just to name a couple, are great writers, both of them. I love to read their books.
7. Do you write in more than one genre? If so which is your favorite?
I have been trying my hand at a romantic suspense for two years, but it’s not going so well, not as well as the futuristic novels.
8. What's your next writing project?
Right now I’m trying to finish the sequel, The Guardian Of Her Heart, which is Blade’s story. Also I’m finishing up another sequel with Whiskey Creek Press. Writing two stories back to back is really hard work. Then add another one, and it gets really tough. Keeping the characters in the right story is hard work. I just finished a book and it took me an entire month. The characters in that one wouldn’t let me work on anything else not matter how hard I tried to keep them at bay, they were too stubborn and wanted to be written.
9. What keeps you enthused about your writing?
Peace and quiet, LOL. I do most of my writing while my three kids are at school and the hubby is at work. Sometimes when the juices are flowing, I keep on and my kids know when I’m working not to bother me, but they do it any way, VBG. Sometimes the story line keeps me going and when it’s not going right I keep on going until it is right.
10. Do you have any other publishing credits?
I write under my real name of Tammie Ainsworth with Whiskey Creek Press
11. What brought you to Wings?
I liked what Wings had to offer and I went for it even after I was burned at another publisher. I researched a lot of publishers and found two that I really liked and went for it. I didn’t want to quit writing and that I have potential and didn’t want one incident to stop me from achieving my goal of becoming a published author.
12. Have you read any books by your fellow Wings' authors, and if so what?
I’ve read a few books by Angela Verdenius and there are a few others’ I’ve read for reviews and I enjoyed them all and Wings does great work. Wingies are the best storytellers, VBG.
