1. Please tell us about your new book, AVENGING ANGEL.

AVENGING ANGEL is a historical romance set in the 1840s in Warren County, Missouri. It is the story of a young girl caught in a web of treachery as she seeks vengeance for the murder of her family.

2. What inspired you to write AVENGING ANGEL?

Actually the whole story started with a vivid dream of one scene and it was so compelling, I had to sit down and weave a story around that scene.

3. How is AVENGING ANGEL different from your first Wings ePress release, SWEET TEMPTATION?

SWEET TEMPTATION is a contemporary romance, written several years after I completed AVENGING ANGEL and the sequel DOUBLE DESTINY. After failing to get attention with the historicals, I decided to write a “sweet” romance to see if a publisher would like that instead.

4. What made you decide to publish through Wings ePress?

One of my critique partners submitted to Wings ePress and encouraged me to send in SWEET TEMPTATION. The rest is history.

5. Have you always known you wanted to be a writer?

No. I didn’t decide I wanted to write until I started developing the story around the dream of Angel. Once I completed that manuscript, I was hooked and realized how much I enjoyed telling a good story.

6. Have you developed any type of writing routine, like spending a certain number of hours a day in front of the computer, or making sure you write a set number of pages each day?

No. I don’t have a routine. I try to write everyday, although a lot of times it isn’t in my “work in progress.” However, composing “something” is part of my daily routine.

7. I read in your author’s bio that you’ve lived and traveled abroad. Have those experiences had an influence on your writing?

Yes. I have used my experience with people in my characters and I have a work in progress that will use my knowledge of Italy.

8. Please tell us some fun facts about you or your writing that you would like your readers to know.

About myself, I have a second passion of dancing. I have taken lessons in all types of ballroom dancing and swing dancing. In fact, I am now teaching Imperial (East coast) swing dancing two nights a week. Except for recent knee surgery, which has limited me from any ballroom dancing, I am really enjoying the opportunity to spread the fun of dance. I have also played several leading lady roles in our community theatre and that has helped me with my writing also.

9. Can you recommend books or workshops you’ve taken that would benefit the beginning writer?

I am a firm believer in the RWA conventions, which offer so many writing workshops and opportunities. The encouragement you receive after a weekend of positive reinforcement will enable you to continue to reach for your goal.

10. If you had one piece of advice to offer a writer just starting out, what would it be?

Never give up. It took me a lot of years to reach the point of being able to say I am a published author. I am so grateful for Wings ePress for giving me the opportunity to prove, I CAN write.

11. Where are you headed from here? Please tell us what’s up and coming for Rosina LaFata.

I have three different “works in progress”. Each “idea” is totally different. I guess I haven’t found my “favorite” time period to write about. When I get an inspiration, I have to write it down. If any of them become a completed manuscript that is a bonus, if not, it still helps me learn this craft of writing.

12.Where can Fans reach you?

I still do not have a web site, but fans can e-mail me at:
