How long have you been writing?

Since I was about ten years old! But I started writing romance about four years ago.

Have you always wanted to be a writer?

Oh yeah. It’s the best!

What are your other hobbies?

Cross-stitch, reading, animal welfare (especially cats) & movies. COUCH POTATOE!

When do you write? Everyday? Bi-weekly?

Almost every day. Sometimes I miss a day here and there when I’m doing nightshift, but even then, I usually manage a few lines before I leave for work. Days off are when I do most of my writing, and then it is all day.

Where do you get your ideas?

Music inspires me. It could be just a few words, a couple of lines, even a whole song. Sometimes it’s just the tune.

Do you do all you own promotion, marketing, advertising?

Have to! This time will be my first time, so it’ll be trial and error. Still, even bad publicity is publicity, right? Maybe I’ll make a fortune by being that ‘notorious writer’!

How do you “clear your mind” when you’re stuck and need a break from the computer?

Have a shower (don’t laugh, it usually works!), pour another diet coke and contemplate the backyard with all the leaves needing to be raked up (contemplate, not do), annoy the cats, annoy the mother…

Do you have something that “puts you in the mood” while you’re writing? Favorite food, beverage, music?

Oh yeah. Drink way too much diet coke when writing. Have a bad habit of snacking (hey, it’s brain food!). I must have music on all the time, and I have an assortment of statues, pin-ups, cartoons, sayings, and a calendar on my walls. But it’s not crowded (no, really)

Do you have a day job?

Night job. I’m a nurse doing nightshifts. Longer hours, less days, more writing time. <g>

If you were stranded on an island, what would be the one thing you would want with you?

One of my heroes, madly in love with me, of course. But then a good book… and there’s my diet coke… Can I have more than one choice, please?
